RSW ENDORSEMENT PROCEDURE

The Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners may grant endorsement to BSWs who hold a current social work license in another state with qualifications equivalent to those required for the Louisiana credential.

The current requirements for the RSW credential are as follows: Candidate must be of good moral character and holds a bachelor's of social work, bachelor of arts, or bachelor of science degree from an undergraduate social work program, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

The Louisiana Social Work Practice Act does not allow for waiver of any of the requirements.

To Apply for Endorsement:

Submit completed application (notarized with photo attached)

Submit Application Fee of $50.00

Official Bachelor's Degree (direct from the University).

Verification of Licensure in Other State form for each state in which you have current or have had a social work credential.  You may make copies of this form to submit to several boards.  The form must be submitted to our office direct from the state licensure board and must either be notarized or possess the state board's seal.

Submit a copy of the state licensing law by which the credential was granted.

Review Process:

Applications will be reviewed by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners for approval after all official forms/documents are received in the Board office.
